About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - Minimum Years of Experience: Recent Labor & Delivery experience required - High-risk OB experience in a level II trauma facility required - Experience with antepartum, C-section, and vaginal deliveries required - Experience in postpartum/mother-baby care preferred - Recent/current high-risk OB experience in a level I trauma facility highly preferred - No first-time travelers; must have completed at least one travel assignment in the previous 12 months required License: - Active state license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: - BLS - Basic Life Support required - ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required - NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program required - AWHONN certificate required Must-Have: - Intermediate or Advanced EFM/AWHONN certificate accepted - EPIC EMR experience required - Work history/resume must include recent/current Labor & Delivery experience required - Skills checklist must be specific to Labor & Delivery required - Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred - Driver's license required Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Labor & Delivery specialty. The nurse will provide care to high-risk OB patients, including antepartum patients and those undergoing C-sections and vaginal deliveries. Patient ratios are 1:1 to 1:2. The nurse will be responsible for administering medications including magnesium, insulin, and pitocin. The unit handles approximately 150 deliveries per month. The nurse is required to float across all campuses. The position includes a holiday rotation. The nurse must be prepared to work 1-2 of the 3 summer holidays unless otherwise informed. Weekends are required every third week. This is a night shift position from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a total of 36 hours per week.
