ED Boarder Registered Nurse – Day/Night Rotating

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Day/Night Rotating Shift | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment, including patients housed in hallway spaces as well as traditional bays
• Navigate multiple care areas within the department to retrieve patients, medications, and supplies as needed
• Manage a high patient turnover rate while maintaining quality care and safety standards
• Adapt quickly to a dynamic, high-activity environment with varying patient acuity levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across different care areas within the emergency department

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, including every other weekend and every other holiday
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environment
• Comfort working in non-traditional patient care settings, including hallway patient assignments

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an emergency department or similarly fast-paced acute care setting
• Familiarity with ED boarding workflows and decentralized supply and medication retrieval processes
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills in high-volume environments
