Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time (36 or 48 hours per week) | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Onsite | Weekends, Holidays, and On-Call per Unit Need

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an orthopedic unit specializing in orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses
• Participate in rotating shift schedules including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call or callback assignments as needed
• Demonstrate strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Function as a collaborative team member and assume charge nurse responsibilities per unit needs
• Engage in opportunities for education and professional growth within a unit recognized for research and innovation

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association only
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level 1 trauma facility
• Demonstrated ability to serve in a charge nurse capacity
