Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Emergency Department setting with a 3:1 patient ratio
• Administer and titrate critical care and emergency medicine drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings for emergency department patients
• Assess, triage, and treat a broad range of emergency and surgical patient types
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC EMR
• Participate in required holiday coverage, working 1–2 designated summer holidays as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of current Emergency Department/ER experience
• Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license
• Drip/titration experience: cardiac drips, insulin, heparin, and all critical care/emergency medicine drips
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation experience
• Active AHA or ARC BLS certification
• Active AHA ACLS certification
• Active AHA PALS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (may be obtained during onboarding)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Competency) certification
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC EMR highly preferred
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
