Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery
Location: Utica, NY

Pay: $2,614 to $2,830 per week
Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Utica, NY. This position is ideal for an RN with strong Labor & Delivery experience who is comfortable caring for mothers and newborns throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum continuum. Candidates must have previous travel nursing experience and be proficient in Epic/Stork documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the postpartum period.
• Assess maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Monitor labor progression, administer medications, and assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Care for newborns immediately following delivery and provide family-centered education and support.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, neonatal teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Accurately document patient care using Epic/Stork and OBIX systems.
• Float to other appropriate units as needed based on facility requirements.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.

Requirements

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum of 4–5 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic/Stork EMR required
• Strong fetal monitoring, labor management, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment

Current AHA certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
