About the Position

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide quality patient care at a youth care facility in Waco, Texas. Working under the supervision of the Unit RN and Nurse Manager, the LVN will administer medications, provide treatments, document patient care, and support the healthcare team in delivering safe and effective services.   Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the RN and Nurse Manager.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients regarding medications and treatments.
• Complete accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Perform computer data entry (training provided).
• Follow facility policies, Joint Commission standards, CMS regulations, and HHSC guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and professional care environment.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license required.
• Ability to pass HHSC-required drug screening.
• Ability to complete HHSC-required fingerprinting.
• Must meet HHSC immunization requirements.
• Completion of all required facility and HHSC training prior to assignment.
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
