Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical, Nights

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit during night shift hours
• Manage a patient assignment with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately within the electronic medical records system
• Adhere to facility policies, protocols, and dress code requirements throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) system
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
