Registered Nurse – CVOR (Cardiothoracic)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate complex cardiac cases including CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, valve procedures, ascending and descending aortic cases, and heart and lung transplants
• Circulate general OR and vascular cases as assigned
• Participate in on-call rotation, averaging 5–8 calls per month including weekend call coverage
• Fulfill holiday call requirements as needed per departmental scheduling
• Adhere to all facility protocols, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state RN license must be in hand at contract start
• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience; first-time CVOR travelers accepted only with 5+ years of overall OR/CVOR experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications – must be American Heart Association (AHA) issued
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, or Magnet-designated hospital
• Demonstrated ability to circulate a broad range of complex cardiothoracic and vascular case types
