Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown (Nights)

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Deliver direct patient care to progressive care/stepdown unit patients during night shift hours
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system to document and manage patient information
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses, including to the Emergency Department

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of previous stepdown or PCU experience
• Active Iowa RN license (or compact license eligibility)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Comfort with floating to the Emergency Department as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
