Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our Electrophysiology (EP) Lab . In this role, you will play a critical part in assisting with advanced, invasive electrophysiology procedures. You will operate cutting-edge EP monitoring, stimulation, and 3D mapping systems, maintain a strict sterile field, and collaborate closely with top Cardiologists and Electrophysiologists.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Procedural Excellence (70%)

Procedure Assistance: Assist physicians using appropriate sterile techniques during the implantation of Permanent Pacemakers, ICDs, and Bi-V-ICDs.

Advanced Equipment Operation: Competently operate and troubleshoot EP monitoring/stimulation systems, Intra-cardiac Echo (ICE), 3D mapping systems, and X-ray equipment.

Patient Care & Safety: Administer medications, perform defibrillation, and execute treatments within your scope of practice. Educate patients to reduce fear and apprehension surrounding invasive procedures.

Radiation Safety: Monitor radiation exposure for patients, staff, and physicians, ensuring levels remain As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA).
Documentation & Lab Operations (30%)

Data Management: Accurately enter patient demographics into physiological monitoring and X-ray equipment; log and relay clinical data to receiving units.

Administrative Operations: Track patient data, accurately record billing information, and assist with lab inventory management and restocking.

Quality & Safety: Maintain hospital safety standards, actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, and champion a safe workplace culture.
Job Requirements
Education
-
Graduate from an accredited school or college of nursing.

BSN Status: BSN preferred (or required within 5 years of hire date for new hires or internal transfers to a new specialty).
Licensure & Certifications

RN Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of South Carolina, OR a current multi-state/compact license. (New graduates with a BON temporary authorization must obtain their full license within 90 days of hire).

Certifications: Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS credentials (must be maintained).

Preferred Credentials: RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) designation is highly preferred.
Experience

Minimum of one (1) year of work experience as a Registered Nurse.

Preferred Experience: Strong preference for candidates with an RN background in High-Acuity Critical Care (ICU) , the Emergency Department (ED) , or the Cath Lab .
