The facility has been serving the local area since 1965. It comprises a 173-bed hospital and various outpatient clinics. Residents are proud of their city's historic charm and family-friendly atmosphere. Within an hour's travel time, Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon National Parks can be easily reached. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The nurse supervises and directs various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinating care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion is key. The role requires independent judgment to provide effective patient care. Data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation is collected and analyzed. Assessment data helps in determining diagnosis and care issues. A plan is developed that prescribes interventions to achieve desired outcomes. Implementation of the plan involves coordinating care delivery and employing strategies to promote health. Progress toward outcome attainment is regularly evaluated. Outcomes for the patient’s situation are identified. Collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare providers is essential. Nurses provide learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members. Health information is directly communicated to patients and families. Participation in discharge planning ensures continuity of care is provided. Duties of healthcare team members are delegated appropriately. Other job-related duties may be assigned as necessary.
