About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum years of acute care facility experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Experience in EPIC and Ce Description: Located in a growing area with a great cost of living and close-knit communities. The role delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The nurse supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Care coordination with other disciplines is essential while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Relevant data pertaining to patients' health is collected and analyzed to determine diagnosis and care issues. A plan is developed that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. The nurse implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment. Evaluating progress toward achieving outcomes is a critical function of this role. The nurse identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers is vital in providing patient care in a safe, healing, and humane environment. Learning opportunities for patients and family members, as well as team members, are provided. Direct health information is communicated to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participation in discharge planning ensures continuity of care. Duties are delegated appropriately, and coordination of healthcare team members' responsibilities is maintained. Other job-related duties may be assigned as needed.
