About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: ER Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift - 36-48 hours per week (3x12s) Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Recent Epic experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required - AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required - AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS required Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Acute care facility experience preferred. Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of associates and patients. Requires all associates to receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. Participates in E-Verify. This department provides triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting. Hours and expenses related to triage and treatment of trauma patients are included. Hours and expenses related to the administration and support of trauma services should not be included here.
