About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Must-Have: Must have EPIC experience Description: Conduct assessments and design individualized care plans for patients. Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Incorporate patient education and discharge planning into care processes. Delegate aspects of patient care based on staff competence and scope of practice. Utilize a nursing process to assess patients and modify care plans as necessary. Respond to emergency situations and disasters according to established protocols. Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately. Ensure continuity of care by following through on physician orders. Advocate for patients’ rights and ensure their needs are respected. Maintain awareness of professional responsibilities within legal practice limits. Utilize effective communication skills with patients and team members. Perform technical aspects of patient care with attention to detail and patient comfort. Demonstrate safe use of medical equipment and perform emergency procedures. Engage in continuous learning to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
