About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Obstetrics Profession: RN Specialty: RN - OB Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Must-Have: EPIC experience Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in providing patient care. Collects relevant data pertinent to patient health or situations. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the care plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment. Evaluates progress towards attaining patient outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in delivering care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients and their families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
