About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession: Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Day Shift - 40 hours per week (4x10s) Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Recent Epic experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Recent Epic experience Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient care. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements the care plan and coordinates care delivery. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing safe and humane patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Ensures compliance with safety and wellbeing protocols for associates and patients. Works on-call as required, with responsibilities including weekend coverage. May float to other areas as needed. Participates in special procedures as necessary. Utilizes specialized equipment as required in the operating room.
