About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Clinic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 hours Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 2+ years including hemo/onc infusion, triage, and phlebotomy. License: Active nursing license Certifications: BLS and Bio/Chemo Certification (preferred: Certification in Oncology Nursing) Must-Have: Basic Life Support (BLS) Description: This position involves working in a busy Hematology/Oncology clinic with an infusion suite. The clinic has 35 bays and beds, with an average patient ratio of 1:6. Candidates must possess experience with IV and port placement. Experience with the administration of chemotherapy agents is required. Basic computer proficiency is necessary, including the ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data and information. Effective interpersonal skills are essential for facilitating communication with various members of the healthcare team, patients, and families. Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work are required. Ability to effectively delegate appropriate patient care activities is necessary. Candidates must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills appropriate to the patient populations served.
