Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in community adult and pediatric emergency room License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS from the American Heart Association required Must-Have: - Strong ability to work in a busy community emergency room and stroke center - Willingness to work 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule - Ability to manage patient ratios of 4:1, potentially stretching to 5:1 during peak census - Commitment to teamwork and collaboration Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. The position requires an active RN license and current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in community adult and pediatric emergency care. This is a busy community emergency room and stroke center, where you will encounter a wide range of patient diagnoses. The role involves staffing at patient ratios of 4:1, with potential for 5:1 during high census periods. Weekend shifts will be variable, requiring 5-6 weekend shifts over a 6-week schedule. There is no on-call requirement, but staff may choose to pick up extra shifts if desired.
