About the Position

License: CA RN License required. Certifications: BSN, AHA BLS required. ACLS preferred. Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year of experience in neurology. - Charting experience with Epic. - Teaching hospital experience required. Description: This position involves providing care to patients in an ambulatory setting. The nurse will be responsible for assessing patients and documenting care. Key responsibilities include medication reconciliation, patient education, and follow-up calls. Must demonstrate proficiency in obtaining vital signs and conducting telephone triage. The nurse will participate in special procedures and coordination of care for neurology patients. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams will be essential in providing high-quality patient care. Flexible availability to float to other departments may be required. A commitment to following universal precautions and infection control protocols is necessary. The role requires strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families. Patients served include adults and geriatrics, with a daily census of approximately 50 visits.
