About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Level 1 trauma experience required. Must have scrub and circulate experience. Travel experience (at least 1-2 assignments) is preferred. License: Current RN license required. Certifications: BLS certification (must be AHA). Must-Have: Ability to navigate Neuro, Trauma, Pediatrics, Transplants, and Procurements. Neonate and pediatric experience is preferred. Trauma experience is required. Description: This position requires the ability to handle typical overnight trauma operating room cases. The role includes 36 guaranteed hours per week. There is a weekend requirement of either Saturday or Sunday, with a goal of not scheduling both days. Typically, 2-3 shifts are scheduled per 6-week period. Holidays will require working at least one holiday. Expectation of running 5 to 6 operating rooms on weekends, with all urgent cases managed on Sunday. The operating room handles various service lines including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Robotics, Organ Transplants, ENT, Oral/Maxillofacial, Vascular/Thoracic, and Pediatrics. The facility averages 60-80 cases per day. Scrubs will be provided. Epic access is needed, with specific modules required for OpTime. No call is required for the night shift. Floating to other operating rooms to provide clinical support in emergencies may be necessary.
