About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Traveler experience required. No first-time travelers accepted. Candidates must be available for classes during the first week. Candidates must be able to float to sister units as required. Description: This is a MedSurg/Telemetry overflow unit. The target patient ratio is 1:6, with support from CNAs available. The team excels in providing remarkable patient experiences across all dimensions. The goal is to restore physiological stability and prevent complications. Nurses will need to correctly interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Telemetry monitoring is conducted by a technician on another unit. Interdisciplinary support includes teams for IV services, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Candidates will be expected to maintain high standards of patient care at all times. All candidates must complete EKG testing prior to starting. Non-billable modules of approximately 8-10 hours will be required to complete prior to start. Pre-approved time off is allowed up to 7 days, with no additional requests accepted after signing. Candidates must work two of three major holidays. RTO must be pre-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of employment.
