About the Position

The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:5. The role includes caring for patients post-operatively, specifically in areas such as tracheostomy care, total laryngectomy care, and free flap monitoring. Skills in drain care, tube feeding, phlebotomy, IV access, and central line management are essential. The nurse should be proficient in telemetry monitoring both on the unit and remotely. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Travelers may float within their scope to meet facility needs. There is no on-call requirement. Documentation will be managed via an electronic charting system. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. All travelers must adhere to the requirements of the assignment.
