About the Position

Experience with Epic charting system is required. Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse with strong Med/Surg Telemetry and Neuro skills. The nurse will work in a unit that focuses on a diverse mix of patients, especially those with nephrology needs. Patient ages range from 18 to 87, with various conditions such as newly diagnosed diabetes, end-stage renal disease, and stable trauma cases. The daily patient census is approximately 25, with a patient ratio of 4. Interdisciplinary support is available, including teams for IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. The nurse should be prepared to float to other units as needed, based on census concerns. Modules and pre-assignment testing are required to ensure the nurse is familiar with unit protocols and procedures. The position emphasizes excellent skills in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience in a large facility setting is preferred. This role includes weekend coverage as needed.
