About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in Stepdown or PCU. License: Active state RN license or compact license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: - Experience in a patient ratio of 1:5 in Stepdown or PCU. - Ventilator experience required. - Experience with EPIC charting system required. - Ability to float to different units based on nursing care needs. Description: The position involves providing skilled nursing care in an intermediate care unit. Nurses will care for a diverse patient population including individuals with neurological conditions. The facility operates on a mixed acuity model, providing both medical-surgical and intermediate care. Nurses are responsible for staffing and managing high-risk respiratory patients. A team nursing model may be utilized, enabling collaboration between RNs, LPNs, and PCTs. Patient ratios are targeted between 1:4 to 1:6. All nurses must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to starting. Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory. Floating may be required to meet the needs of the unit and patient care. Nurses should expect to work every other weekend and holiday. Candidates must be comfortable with assigned duties in potentially high-risk environments. Participants in this role will gain experience with various medical technologies and interventions.
