Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday) with on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care as part of a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) heart team
• Scrub and/or circulate on cardiothoracic surgical cases, averaging approximately 2 cases per day

• Participate in weekday on-call coverage 1–2 times per week, remaining available from home within a 30–40 minute response radius until 7:00 AM the following day
• Participate in weekend on-call coverage 1–2 weekends per 6-week schedule (Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM), responding to the facility if called in
• Adjust shift start and clock-in times based on scheduled case start times
• Float within the hospital and, if needed, to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or Compact license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Cardiothoracic surgical experience is required
• Current AHA-issued BLS and/or other required certifications at time of submission
• Ability to complete pre-start modules and all compliance requirements prior to facility entry
• Availability to work every other holiday

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system
• Two supervisor references preferred at time of submission
