Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown

Contract | Onsite | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population on a cardiac stepdown unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with conditions including post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
• Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring, EKG, and Doppler studies
• Assist with peritoneal dialysis as required within scope of practice
• Utilize Epic for electronic health record documentation and Pyxis for medication management
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed and float within the facility within scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state required at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• Experience with telemetry, EKG interpretation, and Doppler
• Ability to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period and required holidays per assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience strongly preferred
• Prior experience in a cardiac stepdown or progressive care unit setting
• Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis procedures
