About the Position

Job Title: LVN / LPN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Long-Term Care Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience required License: Must have a valid NY State License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Strong attendance and punctuality required Description: Facility is a state-run long-term care center, including rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care. Nights are slower paced with a patient ratio of 1:18-20 in a 300-bed facility. Roles include administering medications and treatments as prescribed and performing medication passes accurately and safely. Monitoring and reporting changes in resident conditions is crucial. Timely and accurate documentation is required as part of nursing care in accordance with facility policies. Supervision of CNAs on the assigned unit is part of the responsibilities. Candidates must be organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills. A positive attitude and the ability to work as a team player are essential traits. Dependability with consistent attendance and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are necessary. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling needs and available to work every other weekend as required. All call-outs must be given with ample notice, more than 24 hours prior. Modules will need to be started as soon as possible and should be completed no later than three days prior to the assignment start date. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Please note that RTO will only be approved at the time of submission and will not be accepted after an offer has been made. Compliance with all requirements and guidelines is mandatory.
