About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: Teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills. Description: This position is for a Med Surg RN. The unit has 30 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. Support staff includes Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretary, PCTs, and Case Management. Equipment used on this unit includes walkers, IV pumps, and SCDs. Documentation is done through Meditech. Scheduling requires 4 weekend shifts per 28-day schedule and participation in holiday rotation. Floating among other staff may be necessary. Patient experience goals require a 72% satisfaction rate. Candidates should have Medical-Surgical experience, including exposure to various respiratory diseases, renal disease, GI illnesses, tele, CVCs, and indwelling catheters. Advanced clinical skills such as managing heparin drips are essential. The dress code consists of navy blue scrubs. Unit-specific policies and guidelines are available for review.
