About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Modified Care Unit Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 3rd 12-hour nights, every other weekend, float as needed Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience License: Current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact Certifications: - American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers or approved equivalent - Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers or approved equivalent Must-Have: - Cardiac Telemetry Care experience - Working with diverse patient populations - Patient assessment skills - Knowledge of nursing theory and practice Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in delivering care to primarily an adult population. Essential functions are adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. Nurses provide care for patients with conditions such as myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, strokes, stable arrhythmias, and other patients needing closer cardiac monitoring and assessment. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice is expected at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years of education at an accredited School of Nursing to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
