About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, BLS, NRP Must-Have: OBED circulation experience C-Section management Ability to manage high-risk antepartum patients Labor experience Experience with COVID patients in labor, C-Section, antepartum, and OBED Description: This position is in a Labor & Delivery unit with 19 labor beds, 5 OBED beds, 3 PACU beds, 3 surgical beds, and 8 antepartum beds. The unit has a total of 55 staff members on rotation. Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 2 OBED nurses, 3 operating room nurses, 2-3 antepartum nurses, and 10 labor nurses. Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 2 OBED nurses, 2-3 antepartum nurses, and 10 labor nurses. Patient ratios are 2:1 for labor, 3:1 for OBED, 4:1 for antepartum, and 1:1 for operating room. Equipment used includes EMR systems like CPN and Meditech. The unit typically performs procedures such as C-Sections, cerclage, and BTLD&C for PPH only. Candidates should possess great teamwork skills and adapt to fast-paced environments. Weekend shifts may require a minimum of 2 shifts per month, with the possibility of up to 4 shifts. There is no on-call requirement associated with this position.
