About the Position

Job Title: Stepdown Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: SC license or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - 2 years of recent nursing experience in a stepdown or similar care unit - Experience with a patient ratio of 1:4 - Proficiency in charting systems, preferably Epic - Ability to float between units as required - Accepting assignments that include holiday rotations Description: This position is for a Stepdown Registered Nurse working three 12-hour night shifts per week. A holiday rotation is required. Travelers must be willing to float between similar units as needed. The role demands strong clinical skills and the ability to manage patients who require more specialized care. The nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric populations. In this setting, you will encounter a variety of patient diagnoses and will need to be equipped to address their complex needs. Candidates must hold current ACLS and BLS certifications, and NIHSS is preferred. The facility ensures a robust environment that emphasizes teamwork and quality patient care. Please be aware of the potential for emergency response assignments during designated seasons. The role involves emotional resilience and flexibility, particularly in high-pressure situations. Additional skills and experiences related to critical care management will be beneficial. Travelers are expected to be vigilant regarding patient safety and adherence to protocols.
