The unit provides specialized cardiac care for patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and complex cardiac conditions. Care is focused on patients with electrolyte-related dysrhythmias and tachy-brady syndromes. The team also cares for patients awaiting heart transplantation and those with implantable cardiac devices such as pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and ventricular assist devices. Expert management is offered for patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including pre- and post-cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, ablation, and chemical cardioversion with anti-dysrhythmic therapy. All candidates must be committed to delivering exceptional patient care and be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.
