Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Same Day Surgery / PACU setting within an acute care hospital environment
• Monitor and assess post-anesthesia patients, managing recovery and identifying complications in a timely manner
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient transitions
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Tennessee or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU or Same Day Surgery nursing
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced perioperative environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a PACU or perioperative setting
• Familiarity with HCA facility systems and electronic health record platforms
• Experience in a high-volume acute care or surgical center environment
