Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Projected Start: August 10, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients with respiratory diseases, renal disease, GI illnesses, and telemetry needs
• Perform and oversee procedures including CVC management, indwelling catheter care, and heparin drip administration
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Utilize communication boards to meet patient experience standards
• Participate in weekend shift rotation (4 shifts per 28-day schedule), holiday rotation, and unit float rotation as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with standard medical equipment including IV pumps, SCDs, and walkers
• Strong teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring in a Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Prior travel nursing experience
