Job Title

Travel RN – Medical/Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 13-Week Assignment | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Surgical/Trauma unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 (1:6 max)
• Manage post-operative and trauma patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team
• Utilize Hill-Rom, Pyxis, and Welch Allyn equipment and document within the Meditech system
• Follow surgeon- and physician-specific care pathways to support consistent orientation and patient outcomes
• Float to other units as determined by house needs per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or orthopedic nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to work every other weekend as part of the scheduling requirement
• Compliance with dress code: royal blue scrubs; black, white, or royal blue jackets permitted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in post-operative care management and trauma nursing
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Background working within a multidisciplinary surgical or trauma team environment
