RNFA – Perioperative Services (Epic)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform first assist duties during surgical procedures within a perioperative services setting
• Utilize Epic EMR system for accurate and timely clinical documentation throughout the perioperative process
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and effective patient care before, during, and after procedures
• Adhere to established perioperative protocols, policies, and patient safety standards
• Support Epic system conversion activities as part of an EMR transition initiative

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with RNFA certification or qualification
• Current, hands-on Epic EMR experience required
• Epic and Cerner experience within the last 5 years
• Documented work history indicating the specific charting system(s) used at each position; if multiple EMR systems were used at a single employer, date ranges for each system must be provided
• Must have successfully completed at least one prior contract or maintained stable employment history with an organization
• No time-off requests (RTO) can be accommodated; start date is firm and non-negotiable

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience supporting or working through an Epic EMR implementation or conversion
• Broad perioperative experience across multiple surgical specialties
