Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care within a fast-paced, high-volume cardiovascular operating room environment performing 4–6 surgeries per day across 4 suites
• Support a range of cardiac surgical procedures including CABG and valve surgeries (no thoracic)
• Read and interpret EKG strips as required during surgical cases
• Participate in overnight call approximately once per week and cover weekend call days as scheduled
• Rotate holiday coverage with core staff
• Collaborate with CSTs, charge nursing staff, and surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Must be confident and self-sufficient in CVOR skills given a 1–2 day unit-specific orientation with a preceptor

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience in a CVOR setting strongly preferred; candidates without scrub experience will be considered
• Experience with ventilator management is a plus, though not required
• First-time travelers welcome provided minimum experience requirements are met
