About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Charge RN experience requested; experience in patient ratio of 1:6; proficiency in Epic charting system Description: Charge RN experience is requested. Minimum experience of 1 year is required, but first-time travelers will be accepted. Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Skills and knowledge required include isolation precautions, wound care (including wound vac), nasal cannula use, high flow nasal cannula, chest tube management, starting IVs, PICC line management, blood product administration, and feeding tube care and management. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6, with an average daily census of 29 patients in a 32-room unit. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary. Holidays will be scheduled as required, with expectations to work major holidays during the assignment. Compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. All required documentation must be completed before the start of the assignment. RTO requests must be finalized at the time of submission, with a maximum of 7 days off allowed.
