About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: - Minimum 2 years emergency department experience Description: Orientation is bi-weekly. Facility has 294 beds. Joint Commission Accredited. Offers cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, surgical services, and more. Located 45 miles east of a major city and 2 hours from the coast. One hour from major universities. 15-minute drive to a local lake. Home to a historic stadium. Meditech experience preferred. Patient ratios are flexible depending on acuity, typically 1:4-5. Equipped with GE monitors and standard emergency department equipment. EHR system used is Meditech. Supervisor is responsible for the unit operations. Patient population includes all age groups. Common diagnoses and treatments include respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and hypertension. Looking for team players who are engaged and maintain a positive attitude. Required education is an Associate’s degree in Nursing. Scrub color is any. Unacceptable attire includes specific non-scrub clothing.
