About the Position

Job Title: Endoscopy RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Valid state license required Certifications: Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required Must-Have: Screening for OR or ICU experience required. Endoscopy experience preferred for OR nurses. Conscious sedation experience required for ICU nurses. Description: Position available for an Endoscopy RN. The shift is 4x10 days from 07:00 to 17:30. Call requirement includes one night per week and every third weekend. Holiday requirement consists of one on-call shift if needed. Experience in patient care is necessary. Administering conscious sedation and airway management skills are required. Experience with bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and endoscopic procedures is necessary. Ability to monitor conscious sedation and recover patients is essential. Knowledge of charting systems is required, specifically Cerner. The unit sees a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily patient census ranges from 15 to 30. Proper specimen handling and labeling skills are necessary. Travelers will float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals as necessary. Professional conduct is essential for this assignment. Failure to maintain professionalism may lead to contract termination.
