Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed Emergency Department serving all patient populations including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients presenting with conditions such as respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis needs, and hypertension
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5, adjusting based on patient acuity
• Operate GE monitoring equipment and standard ED equipment in alignment with department protocols
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EHR
• Float to like assignments as needed and contribute as an engaged, collaborative team member

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Associate of Nursing degree or higher
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from facility to qualify as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech EHR system
• Demonstrated positive attitude, team-player mentality, and high level of engagement in a fast-paced ED environment
