Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Midshift: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM | 3x12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department, maintaining a 4:1 patient ratio
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures to deliver safe, high-quality care
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively to the care team
• Administer medications accurately and monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions
• Document patient care with strong attention to detail, adhering to safety standards, infection control protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
• Float to other units as required and demonstrate leadership and critical thinking in the planning and delivery of emergency patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Mexico
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required
• Fingerprinting required for all travelers working in New Mexico
• Proficiency with EMR systems; facility uses MedHost (EDIS)
• Ability to adhere to call-out policy: notification required at least 2 hours prior to shift start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency or trauma setting
