Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | 36 or 48 hours per week guarantee available | Projected Start: August 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned ICU patients in a mixed cardiac and medical critical care setting.
  • Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed therapies.
  • Manage and monitor patients on advanced hemodynamic support devices including Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, and CRRT.
  • Care for a diverse patient population including DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, post-op cardiovascular surgery (CABGs), and ventilator-dependent patients.
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and appropriate resources.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN license in state of employment or valid compact license.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Demonstrated experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, post-operative cardiovascular surgeries, and CRRT.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a critical care nursing setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Experience in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU environment.
  • Familiarity with managing ventilator-dependent patients and complex cardiac diagnoses.
