About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active nursing license required at submission Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Previous charge RN experience preferred - EPIC charting system experience required Description: The candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting. The nurse will manage a patient population primarily consisting of general medical/surgical diagnoses, including respiratory conditions, diabetes, and palliative care. Observation patients may also be included in the care responsibilities. The role requires proficiency in EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia management, as well as telemetry monitoring. Travelers may be floated to other units as needed. The candidate must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to strict attendance policies. Compliance with all onboarding requirements is mandatory, including passing an EKG exam. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. The nurse will perform routine assessments and manage various treatments, including IV therapy, oxygen administration, and wound care. Knowledge of isolation precautions and management of patient conditions is essential. Commitment to patient safety and quality care is expected at all times.
