About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Cardiac telemetry experience - Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias - Peripheral line care/management - PICC line management - Ability to titrate drips - Experience with PCU ratios (1:5) Description: The candidate will work in a 34-bed general medical progressive care unit with all telemetry monitored beds. The unit provides cardiac surveillance for patients. A centralized cardiac monitoring department oversees the monitoring of patients. The candidate must have experience with various patient diagnoses, particularly stroke. Patients may require long-term care due to their medical conditions. The team includes interdisciplinary support from multiple therapeutic services. Floating to other units may be required as necessary. Candidates should be flexible with scheduling. Attendance policies are strictly enforced, including a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. The candidate must pass a compliance EKG exam prior to starting. Barriers to compliance must be addressed prior to onboarding. All required skills and education must be verified prior to employment.
