The unit performs approximately 1800 deliveries per year. On average, 4 scheduled events are conducted daily, including cesarean sections. The unit consists of 7 labor rooms and 2 triage rooms. Pre-operative and post-anesthesia care are provided in labor rooms. There are 25 postpartum and antepartum beds, with some being overflow antepartum monitored by labor and delivery RNs. Recognized as a referral center, the unit handles complex cases requiring NICU services. The facility is not currently Baby Friendly designated and has a limited pool of lactation staff.
