About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Obstetrics Profession: RN Specialty: OB Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (3 or 4 shifts per week) Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Recent EPIC experience required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients' health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborates with a team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
