Job Title: Registered Nurse - Obstetrics Profession: RN Specialty: OB Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours per week Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) - S.T.A.B.L.E Certification - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (INTFETAL) Must-Have: Experience in EPIC and Cern Description: Located on the beautiful Oregon Coast, this facility has been a leading healthcare provider since 1950. It includes a 25-bed critical access medical center, rural health and urgent care medical offices, home care services, and a broad range of services throughout the region. The position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The role includes supervising and directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. It also requires coordination of care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Essential functions include collecting relevant data pertinent to patient health or situation. Analyzing assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues is a key responsibility. Developing a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes is required. The role involves implementing the plan, coordinating care delivery, and employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluating progress toward achieving outcomes and identifying outcomes for patients are integral tasks. Collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a safe and caring environment is essential. Providing learning opportunities for patients and team members is part of the job. Directly providing health information to patients and families is expected. Participation in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care is required. Delegating appropriately and coordinating duties of healthcare team members are essential functions. Other job-related duties may be assigned as necessary.
