About the Position
Job Title: RN - OR Circulator Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: OR Circulator Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours (7am to 3:30pm, on call required) Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Description: Located in a region known for breathtaking ocean views and dense coastal forests. Rich history of serving community members since 1971. Composed of a critical access hospital offering a range of services. Known for its natural beauty, from towering redwoods to unique beaches. Provides opportunities for outdoor adventures such as whale watching and hiking. Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care. Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyzes assessment data in determining diagnoses and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes for patients. Identifies outcomes for the patients or their situations. Collaborates with the healthcare team, including patients and families, in providing care. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commitment to the safety and well-being of associates and patients. Required vaccinations are a condition of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. Participates in compliance initiatives as required. Department includes functions related to operating room services and intraoperative patient care. Does not include post-anesthesia care unit, anesthesia functions, pre-op holding, or central sterile functions. If the department operates as a combined department, necessary notifications will be made for appropriate benchmarking.
