About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Recent experience with Epic and Cerner required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Acute care facility experience preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation. Collaborates with the healthcare team in providing patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties among healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of all associates and patients through required vaccinations as a condition of employment. May include medical and religious exemptions. Participates in E-Verify. Provides care for post-critical medical, surgical, or cardiac patients requiring observation and care at a level less than intensive care. This unit features a mix of medical, surgical, and cardiac patients, including monitored and ventilator-dependent patients.
